You cearly missed him ducking and allowing Bassong to slot.

CLEARLY.

No I didnt miss it. I saw it clearly. Should have dealt with it but so should the keeper.

Poor on both behalfs but Heitinga and Distin had a decent enough game to warrant continued partnership

Granted - he doesnt seem arsed at times... Possibly thinks hes bigger than the club and this season has put in some awful performances.

However. The back four looked more composed in possession and kept a good shape throughout yesterdays game.

This is what the Heitinga/Distin partnership brings.

With Jagielka manning the back we are always out of shape because hes dragged all over the show. Also far less comfortable in possession.

There is no way Moyes will let Heitinga go in January without a substancial fee (£5m+) and without a direct replacement.

I feel more comfortable with Heitinga and Distin at centre half
You're insane x

I'd be made up with £5m. Might let us have a decent January again like last time. Big wages off the books and would allow us to bring someone in like Forren who'd cost less money, be on less money, be more hungry, less of a tit and be less of a pansy than Johnny.

I reckon we will, im often wrong tho.

I mean I thought selling Rodwell was gonna be a bad idea.

if we get a new centre back and it allows us to buy another player(centre mid or a striker) then i'd be happy, i wonder if we'd sold heitinga in the summer, rodwell might have stayed...

What can Rodwell offer anyway? Nothing. We sign Mirallas and Oviedo with the fee of Rodwell.
