Like Oviedo as he is quite good tbf but he struggled to be a starter due having Baines who is a class act.
Gibson passing is sublime but he just always wasn't fit enough to become a keyman for us. Good luck to the rest of the season. How pienaar been for you?

If both were fully fit, they'd still be in the frame for us. As has been well publicised, injuries have decimated their careers. When Gibson first came here he was excellent (we went on a long unbeaten run). As for Oviedo prior to his leg break he was displaying the sort of form that could have seen him displace Baines (no mean feat at the time). Hope both do a job for you (if they stay fit) and you can beat the drop.

As the above poster said, if Gibson stays fit then you have an excellent player who can spot a pass.

I like Oviedo, not the best defensively but neither was PVA so that shouldnt make a difference, plus he's good going forward. Excellent attitude too.

They can both definitely help your cause and I hope you stay up - good luck.

Oviedo is a good signing. Not top class but will give his all and is a thoroughly likeable lad too.

Gibson had a great start to his career here but has spent the last 2 seasons injured or crashing into cyclists.

I hope both can find some sort of form and keep you up.

I wish you every success as you have a lot of our old team and all where good lads (apart from Lescott).

If fit they will do a decent job., only problem for both is neither has had much game time, gibson if fit will give defoe a few good passes that could be important in the run in can put a tackle in as well.
Bryan is a good player well worth the money sunderland have paid.
