The Hawaiians have a saying - "rain is liquid sunshine".... which is lovely, but they don't live under 'kin tons of the stuff like we do.

Be careful with the tattoo stuff...people can get quite aggrieved with the cultural appropriation stuff, especially tattoos. And there is also, as you are aware, the lost-in-translation issues as when a series of Chinese graphemes is meant to mean "We are strong" but actually means "my goat's anus persists." Would defo find a reliable source.
