Have you ever won anything Dan? I hear no one ask.

Once on new year's eve I won the ingredients for a cooked breakfast.

In a pub and they bring it out. A big hamper with meat and all kinds in it that needed lashing in a fridge. At like half 10 at night.

Yorkshire folk for you.

Did you eat it?

Like you were the best at playing a video game? Or you won a video game in an otherwise unrelated competition?

Don’t swan in here with your ACTUAL achievements and not bother dropping the context.

It was for a Nintendo game called StarWing (it was called Star Fox outside the UK) , I got the most points in the Liverpool region, name was mentioned on the list with others around the country on Teletext and I got some free stuff from Nintendo, the game, certificate, posters, cap etc

Bloody hell, that’s a genuine achievement. Well done, mate!

You still handy at the auld games, or was that your peak?

I won a raffle years ago in The Lamb, Picton High Street. 24 cans of Carling. Not sure if that counts as a win 🤔

Not really a win exactly… but I got a boobie prize of a free 20 years subscription to an Everton fan forum … few years to go 😞

I was well into them as a kid, used to get them imported from USA/Japan too.

These days I still play them but just for a laugh I like RPGs and third person action games mostly . I play online sometimes but prefer co-op/team based stuff. It’s finding the time to be honest mate.
