i have tried it few times. it was actually very fun. you need to have good eye for these sports.
ultimate is more of a teamsport.
 

I was the USS Florida frisbee golf champion of 2000.

(I actually was...our courses were amazing......all over the submarine, underway for our halfway night festivities!)
 
i love frisbee golf too (we call it Frolf), there's a county park near my house back home with one of the biggest courses in america. Its in the woods so there are lots of trees and stuff you have to avoid, and a lake to claim your disc if you go really far off course. i played pretty much every day after work last summer (still crap at it though).

interestingly, for some reason i can't drive backhand like most people do, i seem to get a lot better control flicking my wrist and throwing forehand, sort of like throwing a ball sidearm. how's your game finn?
 
i tried friends Innova Vulcan today, nice distance! ill have to buy it.

our course is good mixture of open terrain and woods. athletic and baseballfield is in the middle of this course, so when there is a game, we must be extra carefull
