Pinched this from the Sunderland thread, one bloke named three who went to his school, then another bloke mentioned another three who had gone to the same school. Must have been a fun place.
As an aside I haven't, anyone here?
 

Harold Shipman made a home visit to ours for my sister when she was about 5 or something.

My mum remembers him being really nice. I was there but don't remember him being particularly serial killery.

Oh and a lad I went to school with had an older brother - two or three years - that murdered his parents with a hammer. Was pretty grim.
 

Yes. Firstly I knew two people who were murdered (and a family friend who was found dead in Africa so the facts were a bit unclear) and a relative who was the victim of clinical error that lead to her death. Of the two murdered people - one was a retired police coroner killed by a relative for money and the other was someone I knew vaguely but I knew the killer much better. I think he's still inside. I always thought he was a strange guy.

Both of these murders took place on the Fylde Coast.

But only knew him before the killing.
 

Yes, a woman who lives about .5 km away from me shot her husband dead several years ago.

She received a life sentence for murder but was then released on appeal a few years into her sentence.

She re-integrated back into the community very successfully and, whilst I do not know her well personally, she has always come across as pleasant and says hello when I have met her in town or around the area.
