Has Martinez reverted to type?

The world cup followed by a poor pre season and we have started bad. Players are either coming back from injury and/or fatigued with the extra games. Some school boy defending is not helping either. hopefully we will see some improvement if bobby starts players who are fit and get a settled side.
Every club will have suffered to an extent with the world cup.
I know we are looking for excuses because the majority of fans seem to love the manager but the fact is he has got to take his fair share of blame

You can question every deal that has ever been made in the history of transfers, doesn't mean you are right though.

And you are only saying McCarthy as he has been a success, he was questioned too. Or was you too wise a sage and knew how good he was all along? Nope, thought not!
no I mean as things currently stand he is the only one you cant question, and compared to Moyes for example (as we all have first hand knowledge) pound for pound spent he wipes the floor with Martinez.

Based on us having lost 4 games so far out of 20.

Based on a terrible season for injuries to key players already.

This is our first serious dip in form since he got here. Fickle and pathetic doesn't even cover it.

I don't suffer fools, I suggest you try it.
In most games we have had better players out there than the opposition, its the same dreary football every game that our opponents know how to react to.
Take a deep breath and look how he has managed since pre season.
Its not a case of being fickle if he had had 7 years here and we started like we had that would be fickle.
People come on here to voice opinions we may not like whats being said but quite a few are wondering whats going on me included

Sounds daft but PROVIDING we don't improve anyone reckon we could attract Klopp? Sounds daft but we:

1. could pay him good money
2. Got a good pool of players to work with
3. A PL based club
4. An owner willing to give time.
5. Will any other club need him in England?

Yet Martinez wiped the floor with Moyes best ever points tally in his first season, or have you forgotten about that very important bit of information?

So we are questioning the signings of Barry, Lukaku, Eto'o are we? ;)

good call on Eto'o actually forgot that one, he has been fine on a free, but the others can be questioned.

And Moyes got us 4th in his 2nd season so ill see your record points tally (using Moyes squad) and raise you a 4th place finish, using Marcus Bent

He has made some mistakes as they all do. My whole point is that some posters go way too far. We just won 2-0 in Wolfsburg who were sitting second in the bundesliga, then have come back from that and had 2 disappointing results. The threads for him to be sacked and comparing him to Mike Walker in my opinion are cringeworthy and ridiculous, but I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.

Great, get Moyes back in then, enjoy yourself. I am bored with this now.

I think I will leave here and come back when sanity has been semi restored.

You are right about the comparison to mike walker that is ridiculous.
Like you say dude we will agree to disagree

I never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness Alcaraz is in contention for the City game. Distin has become a liability. A decent center half signing in January, McCarthy and Naismith fit again, and we should be ok. Tim Howard's having an inconsistent season. Maybe signing a new goalkeeper to keep him on his toes wouldn't hurt either.

I think you have made valid points there.
