Really is unbelievable what we could achieve if we can play to our potential for most of the season, is it possible?

We say the same every year, and every year we lose first day of the season to a promoted side, before gaining our first win on the 24th November.

But next year could be different.

I think it would be, if we had a good transfer window. If we don't unsettle the squad, get rid of some dead wood and bring in a player or two then yes, I think it would be possible.

Unfortunately though, I forsee a bad summer and consequently a bad start. 7th next season anyone?

Correct me if I'm wrong, just added it up then (No for-and-against). Table from fixtures since January 1st 2012:

City 44
United 44
Everton 35
Newcastle 35
Arsenal 34
Fulham 32
Tottenham 30
Chelsea 30
Wigan 28 (FFS!)
Sunderland 27
Swansea 27
WBA 25
Norwich 25
Bolton 23
QPR 20
Stoke 19
RS 18
Blackburn 17
Aston Villa 15
Wolves 8

Can't post the direct link cos I don't have enough posts...

I think Moyes knows if we can keep what we have including pienarr and add someone else creative we can challenge for top 4

We finish the season well = People think we can play good passing football and score plenty of goals.

The expectation to begin well from fans/media/football colleagues gets put onto Moyes' shoulders = Moyes sh*ts himself and we don't put a run together until February, when we're out of both cup competitions and probably 11th...were no-one then expects us to do anything.

Basically it's this, and any manager worth his salt would be able to stop such a rot happening to his team 4 years on the spin, but not our one.

We shall see wont we

We certainly shall mate, and while self confidence is not a personal trait...i'm pretty sure i'll call this one.

Just like I did in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

If we have a positive summer in which we ship players who contribute little and bring in good ones who are fresh, motivated, hungry and boost morale and keep Fellaini (and probably Baines) then we will have a decent start.
