Non-league challenge taking a blue square north/south side - NOT CONFERENCE. and taken them all the way to champions league winners without running the game itself or installing other managers to dump money into your club.

In the 2010 version, I took Nuneaton to the premier league by 2018-19 and got my ground up to 15,000. Had a bad start to the premier league then got sacked after 16 games. winning 2. lost the dressing room completely after the transfer window.

Sounds frustrating. I was going to say how unrealistic football manager games can be in terms of things like that, but then I’m not sure Nigel Adkins would agree it’s just games.

I’ve not played a Football management game apart from fifa for years, but I used to try this all the time on the old Champ Man games. Although granted I was always tempted to give myself a bit more cash to start with.

Tried to with Histon. I spent 7 years with them. Got promoted in my 4th season from the Conference North, then got relegated immediately to the Conference South, got promoted back straight away and got relegated again. Didn't help that the board gave me absolutely no funds both times I went up.

histon have no potential. basically got to take over a "one club in a city/town" with a geographical remit to grow. With Nuneaton it took me 3 years to get them to be conference champions. Went into the division 2 and I didn't realize that the club was still semi-pro.

Its is very hard to do, just need alot of time on your hands, some good food in the case and a blanket of snow to not leave the house. (a long tv series like twin peaks helps in the background)

Doing it with Canterbury City in the Kent Premier League. Tier 9 of English football - 5th tier of non league.

It'll take me at least 10 game years to win the Champions League.

I got Barnett from the blue square to the prem won everything with them exsept the CL and the prem obviously. Had messi and agruo playing for them, they where like 36 but still boss. They gave me 500k every season, I had to survive on frees that I could sell the next season. 4th round of the leauge cup I got man city away and lost to a last minute goal, and the board sacked me and the fans where made up about it.

Well I just turned my computer off and just walked out off the house.

I've been thinking about starting a custom team at the bottom of the pyramid with a policy of only signing (traditional) Lancashire born players but it'd take a lot of research and I can't really be bothered.

I'm far too gone into the 2011 version with Everton. I am now in 2029 and it has taken me 2 years to get that far. However, we are the best team in the world and I have been there longer than Moyes, with a stadium named after me!
