Today's the day!

Onwards and upwards. Uncle Harry better pull some rabbits out the hat pronto, deadline day is his time to shine!

People are right to laud Lampard for getting a club like Derby County to the Premier League play-off final. They’re also right to laud him for guiding Chelsea to a top 4 finish without being able to sign a single player due to their transfer embargo. He got them to the FA Cup final that season too.

BUT… has he got the requisite experience to arrest the seemingly terminal decline of a team that is literally losing every single week. Can he get arguably the worst squad in the league out of the bottom 5 when the likes of Newcastle and Norwich are now breathing down our necks and are spending a fortune in this transfer window? At this stage don’t we need a relegation specialist to do a rescue job? Someone like Big Sam but preferably not Big Sam. Let’s be honest: this is a very different job to Chelsea, albeit Chelsea had just sold their best player (Hazard) before Lampard had arrived and of course couldn’t sign anyone as I’ve already said.
We don't have the worst squad in the league.. there is a number of reasons we are where we are, Injuries, poor managerial appointment are the top 2 by some distance, Richarlson, DCL, Mina and Doucoure have all missed large amounts of time, arguably 4 of our 5 best players, any team struggles with that kind of injury crisis.
We started well but as injuries built up we started preforming worse, confidence began depleting, fans got pissed off and things became toxic. I wanted Rafael to do well but he couldn't deal with our mentally fragile players.
If/when Lampard comes in he has simply got to hit the ground running with a couple of wins and build up confidence otherwise its curtains for us in the PL.

Can we all head down to the liver building for a massive Hokey Cokey on this joyous announcement of our new leader?
Or, arsed.

Here’s how the next 72 hours will go
-4pm today Lampard signs on with a promise from Mosh we will sign a 50m midfielder before the deadline
-6pm Dunc says his goodbyes
-2 days of speculation and hope followed by dispair when no one comes in.
-Monday 6pm deadline beating signing of John jo shelvy
8pm lampard resigns
10pm Dunc welcomed back to take charge for upcoming games

If he has a higher win percentage than Rafael then he will be an upgrade. Fact
Which won't really be to difficult
We'll see mate... Still not a fan of the Tory... He comes in here with the same disgust I have for Rafael.... Would of preferred Potter myself tbh.... Has a clear identity and has shown with limited resources he can compete against the big teams on the pitch.

You're all in denial lads.... Just admit Frank Lampard isn't a better manager than Rafael.... Don't know why some are really happy.... We've downgraded even further..... Anyway to add that he's a massive Tory just makes me laugh about this even more...
Ah so it’s everyone but you that’s in denial eh? The previous manager who played outdated tactics from 10 years ago and changed formation every single week because he didn’t know what he was doing, all the while accumulating one of the lowest points haul in Everton’s premier league existence, playing some of, if not the worst football I’ve ever seen from a professional football team. Benitez was a decent enough human being and a local philanthropist, didn’t really make him a good manager now did it? So what’s being a Tory got to do with anything? you massive bed-wetting whopper.
welcome Frank Lampard, good luck.

I would have also preferred potter.
But why would he leave Brighton who are on the up to come join our terribly run club.

You got to remember we really aren't an appealing option at the moment. Particularly if your already employed by a prem club who aren't doing badly.

So your gonna have to settle for hungry young managers with a point to prove. Tory or not.

Mate after what we've been through these past few years, it's very hard to be optimistic. Lampard is the best of a bad bunch.... Just goes to show where we're at now.
"Just goes to show where we're at now' Fact is, the best three managers in Europe occupy the top three clubs in the prem. As for the rest, might as well just visit a tombola stall.
