I suppose christmas has ceased to be recognised as a religious festival by most individuals. I reckon the majority of people would fail to even make the link between "Christ" and "Christmas".

Right I don't celebrate Ramadan or Yom Kippur or such like but I don't try to ruin other people celebrating it though, its not even other faith people who have the problem its council muppets who automatically think because they don't celebrate christmas then they must feel left out when we do. Why take offence, if you don't celebrate it then fine but don't take offence at people trying to show goodwill towards you, I don't celebrate mornings but I don't get offended if someone says good morning to me though

Its a word. Christmas is Christmas. Christ-mass.

Its a religious holiday. It shouldn't be changed. Imagine trying to change the names of other religious holidays....

It all annoys me, unnecessary expenditure for what?

I dont do religion, but if it was still religious then fair doo's, but its not, you just fork out [Poor language removed] loads of money, not out of good will, because you have to.

I would much prefer it didn't exist. You have birthdays for prezzies, and you dont have to fork out all at once making it easier on the wallet.
