Halfway point of the season

“We play City in the league next week and there are three really important points to fight for because we want to get fourth place,” Besic said.

Any 'disappointment' felt by the players for the first half of the season, hasn't dented their belief or enthusiasm to challenge for 4th.

The halfway point is exactly that halfway to the end of the season. There is no reason whatsoever, that we can't go on a barnstorming run. All the teams, above us and around us in the league, will have their ups and downs from now until the end of the season. A very interesting mouthwatering month ahead will have a bearing on how our season pans out.

9 points off 4th, so it will be a very interesting end to the season if our defence carrys on being sound and Lukaku keeps scoring.

Get 4/6 points against City and Chelsea and then confidence will be the highest this season and who knows what we could go on to do

Get 0 points and we're possibly 12/15 points off 4th with teams below us catching us.

Big month for Martinez.

The top 4 is not nailed on as usual as all teams are having good results, bad results and drawing a lot more than usual. Could be the lowest points needed to finish in the top 4 as it could be the lowest points total to win the league.

Last 15 games:

Won 7
Drawn 6
Lost 2

We're almost reaching a stage where we have to think when the last defeat was.

The consistency is there for all to see.
Stoke about 2 weeks ago mate prior to that it was Leicester the week before.

Keep up.

When was the last 2 league wins?

Our 7th win ago (terrible English admittedly) was WBA which was way more than 15 games ago. If you're gonna give the stat thing a go....please be accurate.

It's been a crap season bailed out by us turning up in the League Cup for once.

Season hinges on that game against City, which is depressing because we should be right in the mix for European football.

It was rhetorical. But the point stands: we are VERY VERY hard to beat.

It's a resilient Everton team. No question.
