That's how i'd go for this, give a couple of players like rooney, williams and baines a rest, but have them as assurances on the bench in case we're in danger of going out. Give siggurdsson a good 60 or so minutes out there if fit enough and don't risk sandro (unless he's already been ruled out?). Bit of pace on the counter too.

Unfortunately there have been isolated incidents, with the Croatian media this morning running images of a man, an Evertonian they claim, being taken to hospital with a head injury after a small group were said to have been set upon by Hajduk supporters.

The ECHO has also received concerning reports of a man's face being slashed with a bottle, a Blue being aggressively told to remove his shirt and one of a fan being robbed.

Also, an eye-witness account that reached us was of a Hajduk fan offering an insincere welcome to a Blue, putting his arm around him, but then hitting him in the face when he had discovered his footballing allegiance.

The witness said he was looking for a fight but received only a shaken Evertonian trying to keep the peace.
