If that is for real it is really a stupid idea for all sorts of historic reasons - ethnicity, religion, politics, language.

There is deep hatred between Croats and Serbs going back many generations and I am talking long before the birth of association football.

If true Everton fans are bringing that tonight then I am astonished. It will not wash to claim it is the red white and blue from the Union flag either.
