He was neither good nor bad yesterday.

Just fairly average. Which was an improvement tbf.

There's surprisingly few people who can recognise average performances. For most people are either good or bad, or in the case of Sigurdsson he's automatically bad regardless because of a hatred of him.

I'm not a fan, at all, in any way, but I can recognise that yesterday he was "OK". Nothing more, nothing less, but certainly not "terrible".

It was his best game arguably for about a year.

An absolute luxury player. If you build a team round him he would fine however that team would probably finish 10th-13th and he would be star player. However if you want to win things and compete for top 4 he is an impact sub for something different at best. He knows he isn't good enough which is why he is practising for a new career as hide and seek champion.

Arguably our best player yesterday, won the ball a few times including the one which led to our goal, passed well and worked hard.
I'm not his biggest fan but that's how it was, if some of you morons let your blind hatred of him deny him of that then more fool you.

Marked improvement from Gylfi and we should see the same now from the under performing players as this time the boss won’t be so easily accountable ,good to see important he keeps it going now

Just read sky sports report on the app and gylfi got star man, although after reading most peoples opinions on his performance he wasn’t that good?

Good post, it's crazy the amount of negative posts on this thread over the last 24 hours, saying that Keane has got 5 pages without even playing Haha

Siggy along with a few others steped up yesterday, just when they needed to

Completely understand the negativity Sig gets, but I've never understood the dismay over the fee for him. He's a well known international who at best is quite good and at worst is largely irrelevant rather than a true detriment. We're probably not a good fit for him, but in the modern prem that fee just isn't shocking regardless of his mediocre production.

There were definitely better players (Sidibe and Bernard for example), but he played alright. Played a big part in the goal. Wasn’t anything special otherwise. Good set pieces

I'd probably argue he wasn't even our best player in central midfield, but that doesn't mean he played badly. He was fine. It was also a game where central midfield was under much stress. Tomorrow they won't be either. So if he's fine again we will probably win. But I also don't think he's brought anything to the position that we weren't getting from Schneiderlin before. They're average and when the team does well their averageness is fine.

I don’t hate him I just think this season he has been absolutely woeful and that’s putting it nicely so I don’t get banned again.apart from the goal v West Ham and a descent kind of performance yesterday he’s done nothing but hide.hopefully ancelotti can sort him out is he will be gone in the summer

His fee was absolutely shocking and his persistent anonymity has definitely been detrimental to us many times over the past few seasons. He’s not helped us progress us as a team or our way of playing football, he’s capable of a decent dead ball from time to time, can thread the odd pass through and has a great right foot but his complete lack of pace, agility, poor off the ball movement, poor touch and inability to go past players is woeful when you consider he’s a £45 million number 10.
