Actually threw himself about yesterday and one some challenges.including the one that lead up to the goal. I can see carlo sitting him in front of the back 4. It could suit him. He doesnt have the legs or speed anymore for a number 10. Bernard/iwobi will offer more.
He can pass. Carlo loves to switch play. He can do that. I'd like to see him take more responsibility and see if he can nail down that position for a number of games to see if he has a future. Just in case gomes doesnt come back to being the same player.

I.hope Gomes comes back being a better player. He's been average most games and goes missing in away games. Not a bad signing for the money paid but needs to show a lot more when he comes back

Although it was one of his better performances this season, he still looked way off being as influential as he has previously been or as we need.

It appears as if he slows down as our play because while he can play a great pass he is often too cautious (or slow) to make the passes when necessary.

At the end of this season he’s been here 3 seasons, 45m or 15m a season, which ever way you look at it in my opinion is about right.

he’s been far from brilliant, but far from disastrous too, but 13 goals last season earnt him respect from me.

given us a couple of wonder goals, his debut and Leicester last season and some other classy goals too.

Really don’t get all the jip he gets on here, he’s been decent.

An absolute luxury player. If you build a team round him he would fine however that team would probably finish 10th-13th and he would be star player. However if you want to win things and compete for top 4 he is an impact sub for something different at best. He knows he isn't good enough which is why he is practising for a new career as hide and seek champion.

£15m a season for about 4 good performances a season is not decent.

Looks like his legs have completely gone he's a tremendously gifted technical player now getting caught in possession a sure sign the sharpness has gone. His demeanour is that of a man who knows it as well.
