I am gutted about last night

However fair play to Barcelona they thoroughly deserved it watched the match in Manc all the people in the pub where gracious in defeat even clapped the Big screen when Barcelona lifted the Trophy

Got loads of abusive texts last night from mates who support Liverpool My reply was you have won ***** all FACT

I dont think that they accept this FACT they are still deluded and next year is THEIR year :lol:

Anyway coming second to your neighbours in the league would have been unbearable

Big defining moments for me in the season Macheda with injury time winner against Villa

And coming from 2 behind against Spurs

Overall a fantastic season for me

Ill say it again 18 ***** times fantastic so happy

Anyway I will be in the pub Sat supporting Everton really hope you win the FA Cup

I will be visiting this fine forum in the summer thats for sure

There's a good thread on here debating where it all went wrong last night for United. I think you just have to take it on the chin and say you'll back. The good news for you is that I doubt Ferguson will want to go out on that note, and that spells massive danger to all in the Premier League next season.

Impressive amount that's come through the ranks: Busquets Borgos, Xavi, Inesta, Pique, Valdes, Puyol, Bojan (and Messi, I suppose, if you discount his time at Newells Old Boys)

But they've also had to spend big:

Henry £16M
Eto'o £22M
Alves £28M
Milito £14M
Hleb £12M
Abidal £13M


...and other less expensive key players were brought in: Marquez, Sylvinho, YaYa Tourre, Keita, Victor Sanchez.

In fact, not so different to United's winning squad of '99 I suppose, with Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, the Nevilles, Butt, Wes Brown.

There might be a lesson for United somewhere there.

Arsenal lost Vieira, struggled.
Arsenal lost Flamini, struggled.
ManU lost Keane, and didnt replace (Hargreaves has not worked out yet). Absolutely got to have a midfield grafter in to take the game to the opposition. Last night called for steel and desire. Both lacking. And it has been a long time since I said this, but Ronaldo was not the worst cheat on the field, Puyol was.

Funny you should mention it being their year next season, on the radio phone in last sunday afternoon, several claimed that with full seasons from Gerrard and Torres the title will be going to Analfield. I thought fans of the RS where adamant that they were not a two man team.

Torres and Gerrard have only started about 15 games together all season. Torres has missed long periods of the season himself with injuries.

Torres Appearances: League 23; FA Cup 3; Carling Cup 2; Europe 9 = 37 Games Total.

Gerrard Appearances: League 30; FA Cup 2; Carling Cup 0; Europe 9 = 41 Games Total.

Hope that is sufficient closet man. (y)

And still the RS won nothing, and all the money Benitez has not been given.
