6 year period? Might be on your own with that one. Appetite for destruction is a classic and the band were immense at that time. That's pretty much it - use your illusion 1 and 2 were just bloated nonsense, self-parody time.

When in the history of music has a band releasing two albums at the same time been a good idea? [Artistically speaking, for the record company it may be a bit of an earner]. Almost always points to trouble at mill in that they can't decide what a good album should sound like, and they've become too important for the record company just to say shut up and edit.

Mesmorise and hyponotise by SOAD were good. But they would have absolutely slayed as one album.

Been loads of double albums that were excellent. They just did it a little different which frankly for me was a money grab by the label.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by Smashing Pumpkins on vinyl is a triple album.

I agree. Breakdown is such an under rated song. Always good to drive to.

Great band at first, but so far up their own backsides they should be sponsored by vaseline.

They played the arena in Manchester four or five years ago, were at least an hour late starting and played on till the early hours.

Lots of people get there on public transport so probably missed the whole show. They were good on stage like, but we pushed off at about half one.

I wouldn't spend hard earned on seeing them again without booking a hotel as well, in fact, I doubt I'd spend hard earned on them at all !
I went to see them at Maine road years ago, turned up hours late done 3/4 songs then had to leave the stage due to noise restrictions after a certain time, left a lot of people very angry and theres no way I would go to watch them again

Kevin Devine with 'Bulldozer' and 'Bubblegum' - Two totally contrasting albums released at the same time - both stunners
