With the fixtures less than a month away, just for a bit of fun we could see how accurate our predictions are for Everton's key fixtures:

Season begins on Saturday 13th August.

Opening day fixture: Crystal Palace (H)
Second fixture: West Ham (A) - First game in Stratford.
First derby: 26th November (H)
Boxing Day: West Brom (H)
Second derby: 1st February (A) - Of course it will be midweek at peak injury season!
Last Day: Burnley (A)

Other opening day fixtures:

Arsenal v Swansea
Burnley v Chelsea
Man Utd v West Brom
Middlesbrough v Leicester
Southampton v Man City
Stoke v Bournemouth
Sheffield Wed/Hull v Tottenham
Sunderland v West Ham
Watford v Liverpool

Dont know about opening day, probably a promoted side.

But I'd put money on Stoke home or away on either of the Xmas/New Year Bank Holidays!

A promoted side third year in a row seems to be the consensus. If it is then I'll swap my first/last day guesses - Burnley away seems a goer.

A few people have gone for Swansea - any particular reason? There's no chance of the clown filling his old seat so I'm curious.... or is it that they're just the first jarg team en-route to our first of many titles under Jose?

Man Utd away first game, the first 3 points of the season on the way to a top 5 finish. COYB

I will probably get shot down here by some stats nerd but in my 55year old mind I seem to think when we start off with heavy defeat at home we have a good season
