If there are five in each group and you play each team once(4 matches) who decides what games you play at home. e;g we would rather have Villareal or Bayern at home than away. Surely certain group members would be disadvantaged by playing their hardest group game away.

the official web site says
5 teams in each league
we play 4 games, 2 home and 2 away

i guess its decided by a computer who plays who or bye the draw
eg first name out is home and will play second name out so on and so on but i could be miles off

If Bayern or Villareal were in our group, I would actually prefer to play them away.

"What is this nonsense?" you ask?

Well, 5 teams per group, 3 advance. We are in the 3rd ranked pot for the draw. This means if we beat down on the 2 "minnows" in pots 4 and 5, those 6 points alone should all but assure us a spot in the knockout stage. To use an American term, I'd rather punt on the pot 1 match (by playing away) in exchange for a home match against the lower teams.

thanks man. montreal is excellent as ever. a freak heat wave in Oct is keeping the girls in skirts for an extra couple weeks...

i've been quiet on the forum, mostly because i haven't seen a match since the man u heart-stabbing, and i didn't have any specific intelligent comments to make. (usually that doesn't stop me though...)

hope you've enjoyed the hurricane-free season down there.

Thanks mate, only one month to go before the imminent danger passes.

Montreal's girls are very special to me, jealous of the heatwave going on. Although Wandas is 24/7 regardless of heatwaves.

Good to have you back around chief.
