'Deliberate' means that the ref must take into account: "the movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand); [and] the distance between the opponent and the ball…”

Ergo, not a deliberate handball and therefore not a pen. Ain't hard to grasp.

The fact a handball actually gave Nigeria a better chance to score has nothing to do with whether it was a handball or not.

It was a handball, just because your touch sucks doesn't get you bailed out. If a player traps the ball with his foot and take a a bad first touch that shoots the ball up to his arm that's always called.

It was the wrong decision.

Lol... I did have some money but I'm even on the day because I took Croatia 2nd half. I had them at 15 to win 75. I wanted Nigeria to advance anyways so I'm biased, but I generally don't like the way the handball rule is officiated.
