Group C - Germany, Northern Ireland, Poland, Ukraine

Tough group for us, need to start well and win against Norn Iron. It's a great gift for us to play the weakest opposition first, although we're a big big bottlers on major tournaments and I think NI are capable to pull a surprise or two. If they were in another group I'd root for them, but I can't support them in a first game obviously. Hope they beat Germans and Ukraine though :)

If we won't bottle like we do all the time, we have a good chance for quarterfinals. And that would be a great result for us.

Norn Iron squad named as thus:

Defenders: C Cathcart (Watford), J Evans (West Bromwich Albion), G McAuley (West Bromwich Albion), L McCullough (Doncaster Rovers), C McLaughlin (Fleetwood Town), L Hodson (MK Dons), A Hughes (Melbourne City), P McNair (Manchester United), C Baird (Derby County)

Midfielders: S Davis (Southampton), O Norwood, (Reading), C Evans, (Blackburn Rovers), S Ferguson (Millwall), S Dallas (Leeds United), N McGinn (Aberdeen), J Ward (Nottingham Forest)

Forwards: K Lafferty (Norwich City), C Washington (Queens Park Rangers), J Magennis (Kilmarnock), W Grigg (Wigan Athletic)

Best squad in the history - that can be our tournament.

And i expect Germany to go out after three games

Germany will win the group. As an NI fan I think the first game is crucial. If we can avoid defeat there's no reason we can't sneak third place and qualify.

My obvious fear is Lewandwoski. Is he as effective at international level as he has been in the Bundesliga? Can't confess to have seen Poland play too often. Hopefully Boruc is in goal and performs like he did against us a few years ago lol
