Terrible game. A carve up.

I see France as an immovable object though and by far the best defensive team in the tournament.
 
Sad for Cahill that he didn't get a record equalling goal, deserved to for being such a loyal servant but his coach didn't give him much chance with just 37 minutes of football.

Compared to past World Cups, there wasn't even any promise in this one. Only Anzani showed any real skill. Tim should've been given more of an opportunity to get a couple of final games in during his last World Cup. Hes been an inspiration for them over the years.
 
funny how perspective varies. had just finished the Inca Trail and was down for lunch at Aguas Callientes as the match was closing out. Had to run to an ATM... every single business/office down the street was blaring the match. Bars. Tourist places. Police station. Women's Hair Salons. No joke. Our waiter was yelling "Vamos Peru!" every five minutes for at least an hour after the match ended. Meant a hell of a lot to them. Glad I was there to enjoy it.
