Just this minute got back from Spain having cut myself off from all things everton for two weeks in the hope that I'd come back and at least Yobo and Yakubu would have gone and we'd be going for some players. What a soft git I am. Yak's still here and has Yobo even gone? Just before I left Bill was saying it would be sorted and he'd leave in a "few days". Can anyone confirm what's actually happened there? To top it all off the red****e have taken their spending up to £38m. Just brilliant. First I come from 30 degree heat to pissing rain in Liverpool and now this. So grim.

Yobo and Yakubu have been left out of the US tour, so maybe that means they're imminently off, or maybe it just means they need to be back here in Britain in case an offer comes in for them?

The Pienaar and Vaughan money - it's generally accepted now that this money went to pay off the interest on loans taken out by the multi-millionaire directors who own Everton, and that it's maybe being used to cushion the blow of poor season ticket sales (reportedly down by about 3,000 on this time last year).

Get used to it, the free spending summer of 06 - 07 are well behind us now.

i tried to do the same mate, the one time i satisfied my internet fix we were meant to be bidding a 1970's amount transfer fee for a derry city winger and the echo were telling us everything in the everton garden was fine. i never logged on again in an attempt to try and enjoy my holiday.

Did the same thing, spent two weeks away (managed to stay off the internet until the 2nd week) and was totally underwhelmed by the lack of activity. Still on a positive note, managed to spread the Everton word and turn Snow White into a Blue (just need her to get the dwarfs in our board room to pull rank now!)
