Looked him up...played for Bolton from 2008-12 and had about 50 caps for Iceland over 10 years.

Apparently played for Bolton. I don't remember him and had to google him, Nothing special although some may remember this (from his wiki page)

Whole-hearted player as I remember. Talent spotting in the lower leagues is a good idea. May get players cheaper, missing out the stage where they sign for a Championship or lower Premier League team. Also with our 2 year ban on signing young players, getting young talent in from the lower leagues could help us.

Spotting talent is one thing.... But lure? Surely we still have pulling power to any player in the championship who wants an opportunity to play in the prem? Lure?
