I still think they will find an agreement that will see them bailed out for now, but still think they will default eventually.

Unfortunately it is. Not the fault of the average bloke in the street, but there are issues with tax dodging, especially by the very wealthy which have contributed massively to the mess they're in

These are the majority and the people that I mean.

I don't doubt that they need to tighten up on wealthy tax dodgers, however Mrs Pensioner whom the IMF/Eurozone/Germany want to either cut her pension or de-value her life savings probably didn't do too much wrong!

Interested to see how this turns out. I read somewhere that even if they don't pay by July 1st it may not constitute a default as per the ratings agencies. Missing a July 17th payment would.

My girlfriend got a 'Greek Surprise' pizza in Crete last week and one of the 'surprises' was Cuttlefish. If you don't know what one of those is, then Google it.

It's fair to say that after such a hideous experience, she would be more than happy to see them default.

Definitely not. But a lot of lower earners are at it too to be fair. It's almost a cultural norm to evade tax in Greece.
