Probably not the most moving song ever but Clarence Clemons' sax solo on this never ever fails to give me goosebumps. Amazing stuff. RIP Big Man.

My cousin died in a car crash a couple of years back... they played the Verve song 'Sonnet' at his funeral.... kinda upbeatish but also very deep and kinda poigniant.....Verve were truly a class act.

Not quite to the same extent but yeah, still get pretty emotional when I hear it, hopefully that will get easier!

Funnily enough, I'm forever blowing bubbles has a similar effect on a number of people at the school he'd taught at - they played that at their assembly for him as he was a West Ham fan. He died in his classroom the day after finding out he'd qualified as a teacher.

Oh my. Sorry to hear that, mate.

This is what I love about music, it's the personal attachment to tunes/songs that give them real meaning. We can all list a soundtrack to our lives that also connects us to each other. I can relate to so many of these posts.

My own most moving songs are

Aerosmith, I don't want to miss a thing.

John Lennon, Imagine.

Meatloaf, For crying out loud.

There are so many others.

Great thread!
