GP changes

Apart form the mural of RM, I noticed the new floodlights (could be blocking the views from some seats when the ball's in the air, and the lower ones could be annoyingly bright for some spectators), and some changes to the front of the Lower Paddock (has a row of seats been removed from the Park End half?). Have I missed something for the £2.5m we've reportedly spent on the ground?

The floodlight changes were required for the telly.

Apparently the old ones had a slight flicker that was detected by the cameras.

Floodlights were required for Europe. That's what the head steward told me anyway when he was guiding me around the Upper Bullens looking for a new season ticket seat this summer.

Pretty sure I heard it was being tarmaced over but I could be imagining things.

Also I think I saw on twitter that some of the hoardings on the upper tier of the Gwladys have been removed to show the original detail like on the Bullens.
