I've had it a few times, usually in a big toe. Makes walking -- or even putting on shoes -- very painful. Usually occurs after a few days of excess booze, which as I get older seems to take less and less. Thankfully, I've cut way back on the drinking -- pretty much have to seeing as the bars here are still closed and I really don't like to drink at home alone.
