Cash was tremendous, but always favored Willie myself. Not that I like country, per se, but the old guard get it right. Probably nobody after George Jones is worth listening to (at least more than a few minutes each month), but I was and always will be amazed at how Garth Brooks destroyed the industry, all in the same time creating the best modern country music and mocking it as well. He was really good, and I suppose his music is sincere (to a point), but it's not like Cash and the others.
He is one of my favourites. So are Hank Williams, Gram Parsons and the King and Queen of country, George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
