Is there any fans of the aussie ping pong ball on here?:) For all their sins i support the Melbourne Demons.Their rubbish but they are the oldest club in the compeition and they have a very good history up to 1964.They haven't won a flag since and i like their theme song.I like them because of the Jim Stynes connection as well.I would also have a soft spot for the Western Bulldogs or Footscray as they where known as until 1996.The poor Doggies won only 1 flag in their entire history back in 1954.Their last grand final appearance was in 1961.

A sound game this. I don't have a clue what's going on half the time but I watched it now and then and enjoy it.

It's no girly American football that's for sure.

I wish I understood this game better, it is absolutely boss to watch.

First time I watched it, huge punch up, including a clean one punch knockout. Brilliant fun.

Did you take a liking to any team or did it all go over your head!

Who's the ones with the red stripe over the black kit? Them. The were more interested in pummelling the opposition than playing the game so I liked them a great deal. If not then whoever McBain supports or the biggest rivals of Bundy's team. They'll do.

Not a huge fan, but do watch it now and again. Sydney Swans for me, mainly because I lived in NSW when I first moved to Aus, and they had a quite talented guy playing full forward by the name of Tony Lockett. (The Australian equivalent of Dixie Dean)

One of my biggest regrets was not going to an AFL game when on tour watching the blues. Really enjoyed watching it on the tele when over there.

That will be Essendon, and they are currently embroiled in a drug scandal.....

You catch the ball cleanly that's called a mark and you get a free kick. You put the ball through the middle sticks you get a goal which is worth 6 points. If you put the ball through the posts on the left and right you get a behind which is worth 1 point.

The atmosphere at the MCG when they have a full house is awesome. It's a great sporting city Melbourne you have 9 AFL teams there with big followings although the Demons, the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne would get the smallest crowds.
