if he says his going to score and does score, i don't care..
if he says his going to score and doesn't score, then knock him back down..

all in all, from all accounts his a good kid and has his head screwed on as well as a pro athlete can
 

He "knew" he was gonna score.

He's either psychic or just confident and talking himself up to his mates as kids do (and so do most people really)

A completly harmless comment i think. Nothing to worry about.
 
I want the lad to think he's going to score every time he's on the pitch. Maybe not the best time to pat yourself on the back (right after sending the Kopites away) but confidence breeds results. (y)
 

What I'd read somewhere online was that he'd been joking with some friends during the week that he'd score the winning goal in the derby. Low and behold he actually does against all odds, I don't really think it has anything to do with ego or big-headedness.
 
I don't blame him to be honest, he's nearly scored about ten times in the three games he's played.

He has the eye of the tiger, he finds the positions.
