Deal expected to be completed later this week. That was last Thursday, been almost a week, and we are also into the next week in relation to the news item. WTF?

Why do they bother with such news items if none of it is true. I just don't get it. Its almost like its created to raise the fans before important games. I know Gosling isn't a massive signing, but I do get the impression that the club time all there news releases.

MIDFIELDER Dan Gosling can now complete his £1.5 million transfer from Argyle to Everton after the deal was rubber-stamped at a board meeting of the Premier League club.

It is believed approval was needed from Everton's second-largest shareholder, Robert Earl, before all the paperwork could be filed.

Earl is an American multi-millionaire who was the founder of the Planet Hollywood chain of restaurants.

Gosling, 17, has passed a medical and will sign a contract with the Blues until June 2011.

Hope he's gunna be good.

Nope, is because this is part of the £25M transfer fees Earl has dish out for Everton during the summer to sign Yakubu and Fernandes, and some of that would be used in this transfer on Gosling so it needed approve from Earl that this signing is going to be a good one for the club.

I imagine when summer comes Fernandes signing would require the same from Earl but it would all depend if Moyes still want to sign him when summer comes.

No i watched an interview with him and was very impressed. He spoke honestly and said he didn't like football at first really, but the way he spoke afterwards made me think we've got a gem here, he said he was making money avaliable and he said along the lines if Moyes thinks a player is right for the team, then he will provide the money, hes working will Bill to take this club back to the heights, he said he annoys his missus now as he tries to fly over for every game and is always jetting off to sort out Everton buisness, he said at the moment he loves life here and its keeping him on his feet.
