A singing section is basically a standing section right? If so, our fans can sing and bounce as good as anybody on their day. Take our away games, during halftime, where we sing Barkleys song. Simply amazing and seems fun to be apart of.

However, if it's anything like the Mancs have then completely against it. There should be no rules to having and creating a good atmosphere. It shouldn't be organized. No sheets and choirs.

Mate but isnt that the whole point...if signing section would come it would be hugely embarrassing if it would be quiet. It cant be like..."we have a singing section but it seems they dont want to sign now" x

It should be rocking from start to the end. Otherwise I cant see the point of putting separate singing section up

@BoysInBlue
It doesn't already exist in the Lower Gwladys Street, a lot of the singers are still spread out, they're fairly concentrated at the back of GT4 but certainly not congregated enough.

Re song sheets, firstly you are aware that Everton done these loads in the 60s onwards aren't you so I certainly don't think the basis of our support then was choreographed do you? I actually admire the effort our fans done back then to do their bit for the club. Besides in this day and age you don't need song sheets as people see the words on line or wherever, not that anyone going in there won't know them. The tweet I saw at the top used Man U as an example against all the people who say those cliches like it being for small clubs.

The gradient of the Lower Gwladys St is very low meaning it is one the safest for standing, I think it's around 14 degrees, whereas terrace recommendations are no more than 25 degrees iirc. PA announcements would not be necessary as this would remove the problem of fans being in the way of others when stood, of course if it is positioned somewhere at the back.

Your last paragraph is totally besides the point. Standing is not allowed at Goodison or at any Premier league ground in England. Thems the rules. Until the rules/laws are changed, that's just the way it is. If wanting to stand is the root cause behind all of this fuss, then why don't people just be up front about it instead of hiding behind some silly singing section idea?

As for your other points, we may have had song sheets 50 YEARS AGO but times & society & our fan base have changed.

The current singing predominantly takes place in Lower Gwladys. I'd wager at least 85-90% of all singing at Goodision commences in the Lower Gwladys. It's not like any songs start in Bullens Road or the Main Stand.

I tried to start the singing off in the main stand the year the mancs won the title at Goodison ( 2-1 to them after the ref gave then a pen for absolutely nothing ).

I failed miserably.

Yes the Lower Gwladys St is the section that the singing starts from, you're completely right and that forms my point. We can be more specific and say that the section of the Gwladys St that the singing starts from is Gt4. We can be more specific again and say that the singing comes from the same handful of people in Gt4. We can be more specific and say that it is the same handful of people that start most off, experience of being one of those people will tell you that when those people are closer to each other there is far more singing that spreads to everyone and it encourages more to join in and start them off too. We can be more specific again and add that when everyone is stood, fans are more at ease to start songs off. We can be more specific again and say that when sat the atmosphere dies off like a switch, we can be more specific and say that when singers are interspersed with non singers it leads songs take off less and so are started less. We can make ease of this talk by rather than saying 'section that the singing comes from' we say 'singing section' yes? Hopefully that it explains it more.

None if it is forced, fans do it because they want to. It is circumstances like reserved seating and sitting that prevent it, this about moving those barriers to allow the atmosphere to naturally happen, I don't find any of that silly or forced whatsoever, it's common sense.

You brought song sheets into and claimed it was choreographed so I defended our 60s fans. The Stones song now people were asking for words to it online so is that choreographed too? I even said to you there's no need for song sheets these days.
