Goodison Park Seating Advice

......unless you call sitting on those barriers seats, Jeff. Cold, sore backside after 5 mins on one of those back in the day. I really disliked that pen on the few occasions I ended up there.

I started my Everton life in either the Upper Bullens or up top in the old Park end because that's where my grandad took me
when I was a little lad. I went in the boys pen when I was old enough to go on my own and I loved it.
The only time I sat on those cold, iron barriers was in the Kop when my dad took me in my early years. He was a Red, sadly.
Great memories, eh, eggs?

Seeing that the tickets for the Sunderland match on Saturday May 8th will be going on general sale next week now is the time to work out where i will sit when im actually ordering my ticket.God i have a great sense of occasion don't i.My first trip to Goodison will be an end of season dead rubber fixture against Sunderland!I doubt i will experience vintage Goodison but this will be a seminal moment in my life.I actually might have to shed a tear or two or three when i get to my seat and they will be tears of both joy and sadness.Tears at the joy of being here and tears that after all my highs and lows in life that i will finally have reached my promised land.I just hope the lad's put on a show and give the opposition a proper thumping. The plan is to get the number 19 bus from town to Goodison. If people have better ideas with regards to getting to the ground then please tell me.

Now as for where i will sit i am looking at the Upper Gwladys or Lower Gwladys Street, the paddock or the Top Balcony. There's a little voice in my head saying go for the Upper Gwladys although i might go for the lower Gwladys Street end if i can get an unobstructed seat.I think the advice of people who have a knowledge of every nook and cranny of Goodison would help here.I personally myself want a decent view while sitting in a stand where the atmosphere is as lively as possible. However i might need to take the needs of my father who will be travelling with me into account by opting for a more quieter stand.
I'll be at the match, sit by me f you want xx

Any bus from the stand nearest to the George's Hall in Queens Square will take you to Goodison, there is a bus from the side of the park direct to Lime Street after the game - may have to queue a little while though.

Enjoy the game mate!

Thanks i have my research done on the buses.I know as well as the number 19 there's also the numbers 20 and 21 buses that will drop you off at County Road. The return leg of either the 19 20 or 21 routes will drop me off on Dale Street near my hotel so im all good there.I suppose around 2 o'clock would be time enough to get the bus to Goodison.I will hopefully enjoy the game.Worse case scenario would be a defeat followed by a scoreless draw but hopefully we'll run riot against this lot.
