Player Valuation: £950k
A friend of mine once had to make a decision on wether to buy a timex or a rolex watch.
He consulted experts on this.

He was told that although much more expensive the rolex would bring him
much joy,great esteem,
and envy amongst his friends and.In general an overall feeling of well being.

He was also told that one day the rolex may be worth even more than he paid for it.

Alternatively he was told that the timex would do exactly what the rolex did.
Tell the time.
He was also told it may entail more maintenance ,lose time and could eventually break down.
But he was assured that it wouldnt happen in his lifetime.

My friend chose the timex.

Sadly many years later my friend passed away ..a pauper.
All he left for his family was a broken watch..

I liked the story but Goodison park is no Rolex and Ric Wee couldn't go the game on the windy wednesday night cause Goodison broke. So I would say Goodison is a Timex

New stadium, I will miss goodison but if the new stadium takes the best aspects of Goodison such as it's intimacy and old style theme to it. Removes it's negatives like Obstructed views, lack of Boxes and looking like a overly large Shed built by a man going through a midlife crises from the outside then it will say hands down new stadium.

New stadium...I love GP obviously but times change, needs change, we have to be able to compete going forward and to do that we need a new stadium with the ability to make us money!!

Bad times

I am 65yrs old and i will never see a new ground in my lifetime, it comes around every year along with the takeover talk.
Once you have your season ticket it all goes away, Kenwright out.

It'll benefit the club more to have a new stadium I think

I don't see what else can be done to extend Goodison other than buying out the people who live near the stadium and I wouldn't be comfortable with that at all

Increased income is required and the club itself would be more attractive to a buyer if the stadium situation was resolved

Hope you're wrong mate. I'm 68 and desperate to see our new ground in all its glory before I curl me toes up!

We don't even have a scoreboard anymore because the hand clap flashing cost that much that we had to sell Arteta. Nevermind a watch

Unfortunately the only watch we own is battered and bruised, the battery is dead, but we wear it with pride because it's got history.

We went to Tesco to buy a new one and they were sold out, our dad kept promising to get us one every summer and told us he'd look everytime he went shopping, yet everytime he came home empty handed, and yet still after all these years we still believe he's going to buy us a new watch.
