Another one, Brentford...

Brentford FC's Griffin Park stadium will be replaced by 75 family homes when the club moves to its new home in Lionel Road South....A collection of two to four-storey houses at the site was given the go-ahead by Hounslow Council's planning committee on Thursday (September 3)....Developers said the memorial garden, playground and orchard at the centre of the development had been designed to honour the ground's history. They told councillors how a respected landscape gardener, who has exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show and is a Brentford fan, had even arranged the trees in a 4,3,3 formation as if they were players on the pitch.

:hayee:
Like the idea of the trees but prefer a 4-4-2 with a midfield diamond :)

All arsenal seemed to do with Highbury was whore it out to property developers, hardly much of a legacy.
The plans for Goodison are far superior.
I agree but what they've left is also something where you can visit and make out the old stadium at least, I know profit was uppermost in their thoughts but they don't seem to have spent it that well of late.

Good article in the athletic about what a disaster the flats at Highbury have been for the residents.
a massive fire hazard like so many other buildings have turned out to be after grenfell and are all currently worthless.
