Don't really think it makes a difference tbh. I would much rather be sat at the ground then at home but that's difficult being on the other side of the globe

Not at all. Watching a match at the ground is a far better experience than watching it at home. It doesn't give you a better insight into what goes on on the pitch though IMO.
Havn't said it did mate,I just never considered not going, if that makes sense.

TV cameras tend to follow the ball, being there gives you a much bigger picture about what is happening all over the pitch, formations, players positioning, makes it much more interesting, be honest 90% of analysts/commentators rarely predict formations correctly when the lkine ups are on the screen in front of them.
I'd say that 99% of fans at the game follow the ball as well mate. Unless you're looking for something specific rather than following the game in general, in which case you'd miss out on other aspects of the game.

come on, you know what i mean, you have a much better sense of what is going on

Nah, you definitely get a much better perspective at the match.

I have had 2 long stints as a ST holder, and a couple of skint years F5'ing streams or watching in the pub. You maybe see penalty incidents or red cards better because of the replays, but overall it isn't nearly the same experience.

I've been to hundreds of games and I've watched hundreds at home and IMO I can analyse a match better having watched it at home. But then when I go to the game I've normally had 4/5 pints so that would make sense.

I remember falling asleep at Villa park a few years ago when we won 3-0 as I was that drunk. Most matches I attend I've have a fair few before and during the game, I tend to not remember what has happened during the game. Would say yes or no really. Every blues opinion matters. Apart from damo.

It's difficult, because nowadays 99% of the match going support are pissed up lads in their replica tops too busy thinking of funny 'me arl fella shouts' to be repeated on forums so even if they had the potential for a better insight they wouldn't know what to do with it

Ross can't hear you kicking off when he doesn't take on 7 players and score, if you're at home.
Stones can't hear you scream GET RIDDDDDDD if you're at home.
The players can't hear you boo and get angry all game if you're at home.

But sitting at home does give you something you can't see at the match, a better view of the pitch, what went wrong and multiple replays.

It's better going the match, but you can see a lot more of the actual game at home.
