Get out there and enjoy it. Never just sit/stand there drinking though, strike up conversation with others at the bar, you never know who you might meet. If you end up talking to some boring bugger just move to the next bar. Easy.

..if I was working away I would always have a few pints on my lonesome but not as fancy as Berlin. I’d normally do the rounds of my favourite watering holes in the likes of Leeds and Newcastle and just observe the locals.

I’m jealous. I’d love to be in Berlin right now.

Have a wander around Kreuzberg/Friedrichshain. There’s loads going on at night. Suicide Circus, Chalet and Club De Visionaere were good clubs to go to get chatting to randoms when I was there, as they all have big outdoor areas where you can take a break. The whole Berlin scene is so laid back, friendly and inclusive. You’ll have a great night mate.
