A few players could be on for their best goals tally in a blue shirt this year:

Baines' best was 7 in all competitions in 2010/11. He's currently on 6.

Ossie has scored 7 times in three different seasons. He would need 3 more this year to beat it.

Pienaar found the net 7 times in 2009/10. He would also need 3 more strikes to improve on that record.

Felli has already scored 2 more than his previous best (9) from 2008/9.

Vic scored 6 in 16 last season. He's taken two more games to match it this year.

This assists table makes pretty interesting reading too (all competitions):

Anichebe 8
Mirallas 7
Pienaar 7
Baines 6
Fellaini 6
Osman 4
 

Jela's gotta be on his worst to date surely? It's nice to see the goals coming from elsewhere too, but to have defenders with more goals than him so far...

Jelavic is our joint second highest scorer with Anichebe on 7. He has the same number of league goals as Gerrard and Hazard, only one fewer than Tevez and Torres and one more than Dempsey and Cisse.

The assists were from Toffeeweb and included a hat-trick of assists by Vic in the fa cup tie at Cheltenham. I've just double-checked it on the Premier League website and the league only stats are:

13) Pienaar 6
20) Baines 5
63) Mirallas 3
86) Anichebe, Jagielka, Coleman, Jelavic, Osman 2
 
i love baines and i know he takes set pieces but i really dont want our left back to be top scorer. was pretty embarassing when lescott was there
