He did admit to frailties in defence under him and you knew he'd bring up the two semi final appearances. However no mention of our league form over his last 2 seasons, but then again which manager is going to admit his failings. Let's face it Martinez only highlighted the positives in everything in his time with Everton and likewise his failings as a manager whilst with us where never going to be raised. Can't wait for his thoughts on niasse.

Understand where he is coming from regarding cups. It's 22 years since we won now and we need to buck the trend soon.

But when he came in, it was all talk of the Champions League, breaking the top four.

But now, its all about winning cups, at the expense of the league and he's praising Southampton. I think that is convenient when you consider how he couldn't maintain it in the league.

He's a nice bloke though, sad to see they way it went.

Credit where it's due, Bobby did have a eye for a player.

Unfortunately he also had an eye for a bad one too.

Gonna justify his signing of £13m niasse with his goal yesterday, my birds a red though and has just walked in and knabbed the remote control so I'm now watching guff. Think I'll go back out the pub that'll piss her off as I haven't been sober since Friday morning. :pint2:
