It was a great strike but Bale for me so far.

Bales was nice, but PAv put it in on the volley from 4 yards out past the keeper and four players from as wide a position. It is a Marco Van Basten moment.
 
It was a great effort, but he just put his foot through it and hoped for the best, he got the best alright. I liked Bales because the technique was immense, foot up level with his shoulder and moved the ball outside to in.

Yeah but tighter angle past keeper ad four players. Level of difficulty rules. Bales was a sweet strike, but by comparrion, come on...
 

It was good, but the Bale goal was pure perfection. Pavlyuchenko aimed for the goal and shot, and it happened to miss everyone, he didn't purposely aim to miss all the players in the way, so it going past men is hardly a massive selling point.

It was a stellar goal, but I can't see how anyone can say it beats Bale's.



And I think if I'm being biased I'm going to say Baines' is the goal of the season so far. Okay... probably not, but it's at the very least, the set piece of the season.
