The Wayne Shorter Footsteps was phenomenal.

Great to hear proper jazz at Glasto and even better that there was such a diverse audience.

Bloody fantastic.

Even a lot of the UK rappers today have a jazz band behind them, it's booming these days

Just occurred to me for some reason. Reckon tons of seriously big rock bands myself. Zep didnt, I dont think. But Glasto was way smaller back then.

They inspired it though didn't they? He (Michael Eavis) saw them at Bath and then decided to organise the festival.

Have pink Floyd ever played?

No idea mate. I reckon, back in those days, the big profile outside gigs were Knebworth, and such like. I cant recall bands like Def Leppard, AC/DC, Iron Maiden etc ever being there. I guess while they have huge sales, they have a limited appeal, if that makes sense.
