A friend and mine were talking today about Ranger squad at the start of the season beating Evertons, just wanted to see other peoples thoughts as thought it was crazy.
Also if they were ever to play in the prem how'd you think they would go?
He reckons Alan McGregor, Naismith and Davis would walk into Everton starting 11???!!!!!

The current Rangers squad is the worst I've ever seen for over 30 years and as Davek said McGregor apart I doubt any of there players are good enough for any PL team nevermind us.

McGregor would be a deputy to Howard. The rest are Div One class.

This is 70% correct.

I'd prefer McGregor to Howard, much less gaffe-prone and equally as good a shot stopper. Only problem is his off field inability to keep his boaby out of women who aren't his fiance.

Davis would be decent for a West Brom or a Sunderland possibly, certainly no higher.

I cannot see why anyone rates Naismith in the slightest. Everytime I see him play he flatters to deceive and the less said about his Scotland performances the better.

McGregor - seem to remember he was involved in a rape case???

Naismith - only for the fact that he doesn't play two upfront, I could actually see Moyes viewing him as a foil for Jelavic as he was at Rangers. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he's on a free (which he will soon) Moyes takes him on...or McLeish if he's still at Villa.

Naismith-Christ I hope not. I'd rather he play McFadden.

McGregor- Think they were more tabloid rumours than anything else, I don't remember any legal case but I might be wrong. He's 30 now though so I'd be after someone young. Take him on a free though.

If I were a Tranmere fan I might be tempted by Lee McCulloch.

I had a dream the other night that Liverpool had made a similar cock-up with tax evasion. Alas, it was just a dream.

MacGregor at his best is probably better than Howard, although he hasn't been at his best for the best part of 2 seasons unfortunately.

Davis I would definately take, can do a job in midfield or at right back, Aluko I'd take as benchwarmer too.

Naismith has been out for most of the season but had been showing signs of quality, and him playing with Jelavic again would cause Premiership defences havoc.

Before he got injuried Naismith had 9 goals and 6 assists from 11 games. That'd be why I'd rate him.
