He's picked the wrong managers. But he's also given them time and money.

He shouldn't have allowed O'Neill to spend so much money they couldn't afford and he shouldn't have appointed either Houllier or McCliesh. But with the right manager he'd be an excellent owner.

Hes done both mate, MON spent a lot but also brought in some quality players. McLeash and Houllier were awfull appointments.

Yet Villa are a financial basket case, really poorly run, while Villa pay him annual interest of over 10 mill on the money he "spent". He some how managed to rack up debts north of 100 mill from 0. Their wage/turnover ratio is ridiculous. Make no mistake this lid knows what hes doing and he wont be out of pocket, he owns credit card companies FFS.

Could you imagine Bill did that here.

Called what? I don't remember you forecasting numerous terrible managers squandering over £100m on player investment, and I don't recall you mention Lerner funding a complete upgrade to the training complex at Bodymoor Heath either.

But you'll keep banging the "Lerner is terrible" drum, even if the majority of Villa fans don't think so and the majority of football fans with a brain can see he's simply stopping the mad spending and bringing the club on a level financial playing field.
