I'd be very surprised if the club would be willing to entertain any negotiations with Giroud after how much his decision apparently affected us in the Summer.

Giving the Everton board the benefit of the doubt (which maybe they don't deserve) I can only assume that Giroud intimated to us that he was interested in joining and then left us standing in the rain on deadline day.
