It's fair to say that the majority of working class Scots dont give a flying one about the monarchy.

The biscuit tin Scots had their toadying last week, working class Scots had their say at footy grounds.

Well every ground will be asked to sing along to "rebellious scots to crush" so can understand Scottish lads not being fussed on a good old sing along for Bessy similar to anywhere with a big Irish Catholic following (cough/us)

It's not just the forces either , I believe that the Police also sign up to serve the Crown.
Although much maligned , and massively under resourced during "austerity" , we would all be screwed without them

Isn't it all civil servants? Socialism is all about increasing public sector, so in effect working for the Crown. The Queen as the top public servant.

The monarchy is down as non political so its not a Conservative or Labour thing neither.

The argument to be had on the current monarchy could be if they're over funded.

There's also an argument to be had over applying for the Head of State role, but personally I think theres more transparency with that role being took by the Queen or King, rather than someone we've never heard of up until they're media campaign to get elected in a vote no one bothers voting in

You’re not being forced to do anything. You’re simply being advised what the Club and the governing body will do.

I’m no monarchist or Royalist and have little time for them. However, I’m a decent human being and will respect the whole process as I would do at any commemorative event or funeral.
Staying silent would, in its own way, show your disapproval of the whole process.
