Think we should wear commemorative shirts like these, but with the Queen's face

I used to go in the Park End but not since an unpleasant experience after Tranmere beat us in the cup. The behaviour of some upset Everton fans was appalling. I am sure it wasn't you.

You're obviously wanting to believe something that didn't really happen or suffering from this..

The Merseyside bit is true, that's almost as well-known as the fact that not many people booed the anthems in both those games. The minutes' silence is mostly respected, apart from a few whistles (in 86) and there's even less noise in 1984 when the anthem is played in presence of the queen mum. I have the full game on DVD.

You’re getting yourself worked up into a right tizz over this innit,

I was 14 and I only boo. Although I may have been giving 2 thumbs down whilst booing that day. Apologies if it was me.

Staying in the pub till this maudlin claptrap is over then go in the ground 5 minutes late.
Might go for a gypsies kiss at 69 minutes in case the grief-police catch me not clapping...

When I get home I'm going burn a scarecrow with her mask on it and put out the remnants with some availible bodily fluids.
And here’s me struggling for a topic for my psuchology thesis! Ta mate :)

The fans were hurling obscene abuse at departing Everton players leaving the pitch. It must have been clearly audible by the players and I was with my wife.

Nazi supporters? really?

or maybe it was "my enemies enemy is my friend"

the Republicans were after a united Ireland- that`s all
that is a fair and balanced point. You could also say that some of the Royals were Nazi sympathisers too (they absolutely were).

Sadly the enemy of my enemy is my friend only really washes if you/they win(see communist Russia and 'history is written by the victors')... or at least if they weren't intent on wiping out a whole slew of people for believing Moses was the chosen one and not Jeezy Chreezy. lol

I do empathise with the issue, it's incredibly complex and frankly unsolvable to the satisfaction of both sides... and very similar in nature to the west bank/gaza issues in Israel. But the oddity is that you won't find Palestinian Muslims supporting Maccabi Haifa.

We have to remember it’s happening at every ground so maybe by the time we play, boos and resentment will have already taken place at other grounds.
