People having a go at the club should probably remember we had absolutely no say in this transfer. Barca had all the power.
Del had a say though mate. He could have said no if he wanted. Can only think they've promised him game time. Maybe Messi moving back to moreof a midfield role.

No reason for him to say no I'm going back to Everton to sit on the bench or not even get in the match day squad...might as well sit in the warmth of Spain at his favourite club and hope for a chance... I like Koeman but I think this was a mistake, he's the manager though and it need to be his way

Not really Koemans call though mate. Del could have turndd them down if we gave him a reason to stay or if he believed other clubs may have come in for him.

Personally I wanted him to stay.

For all that has been in the press about Barca not wanting him back (and to those that believe everything in the press) let this be a lesson, until its officially released by the club take no notice.
As Groucho said Koeman has known of Geri's intentions for a long while thats why he sent him out on loan.
That goes for Sandro Ramirez or any other as well ,it is never done until its official by the club.

Good riddance

One lunged one trick pony

Another remnant of the failed Martinez era gone for good

Football fans lol

Such hostility towards someone who never did anything worthy of hate whilst at the club and was one of the few foreign players who seemed to get the cub and it's fans.

Footy fans are mental with how easily they just switch on the hate for no logical reason.

Welcome home Deulofeu, mines an Estrella Galicia!

I'd much prefer have a manager who would find a place for him in our squad. Look forward to seeing him back here though. I think he'll get more minutes than people expect.
We did and look how that worked out.

5 out of last 6 pre seasons he's spent it with a team different to the one he ended the season before.

He's basically the Spanish Steve Claridge.

And this time next year it'll be 6 in 7.

Many better managers haven't found time for him, so why is this Koemans fault?

Ha. Too touchy Ian.

I didn't say its his fault. I just stated my preference for the type of manager who would make room for some inconsistent talent that occasionally hits heights other players can't. The other options aren't exactly going to suddenly learn the ability to do what Deulofeu can do, and they are flawed themselves in being average unproven or inconsistent. I fear Koeman is a bit too dull and functional. Deulofeu did well in our one good season under the last boss, but would always be the type to disappear when the club/squad was in a mess for the next two seasons. It's just my opinion that with stability here and a good run of games we might have seen something else from him.

I'm supporting the new boss and am open to being wowed over the next couple of seasons, but I'm allowed to criticise or give my general opinion on him along the way....no?

So for all the to-ing and fro-ing on keeping him it was clear Barca were always going to buy him back at the end of the 2 years giving us a small profit for a glorified loan it seems

Be funny if we signed him again next summer though

Koeman gave him no reason to stay or come back and seemed very blase about him returning too...Just the way it is really, I'm not going to agree with everything RK does so I'll just have to get over this one!

For me he knew he wasn't/isn't good enough and sugar coated his stay with nice selfies and said the right things ....

He could have easly been Martinez in that respect

To this day I still can't understand how a 20 year old kids done after 10 minutes

Looks a world beater on video I just prey are latest graduate of Barcelonas famed superstar factory is only missing his fringe and not a lung like Gerri
