Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu has rejected the chance of a return to Barcelona with AC Milan and Juventus both vying for his services.

The Catalan club triggered a buy-back clause which was inserted into the details of his transfer when he left the Nou Camp for Merseyside in 2015.

It enables them to re-sign Deulofeu, a product of the celebrated La Masia academy, for a fee of £10.5million if he agreed to the move.

AC Milan, who had Deulofeu on loan last season, and Juventus are both keen on the winger
The winger has two years left on his current contract on Merseyside and should he attract interest from elsewhere, a fee would have to be discussed with the Toffees.

Deulofeu cost Everton £4.2m and made a great impact on his arrival in the Premier League with his lightning speed off the mark tormenting defenders.

However he is not part of Ronald Koeman's long-term plans at Goodison Park.

At 23 Deulofeu is determined to find a permanent club where he plays regular football and there is little guarantee of this at Barcelona where the three attacking positions are occupied by Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

One attractive option would be a return to AC Milan where he impressed on loan last season.

Italian champions Juventus have also made their interest clear and there are clubs in La Liga keen to lure him back to his native Spain.

Deulofeu is currently is Poland at the European Under 21 Championship where Spain will face Germany in the final.

Still think he's got a part to play for us. Impact player from the bench - just depends on if he's happy not playing the full 90 (his limit appears to be around 60 minutes).

This guy is what 22? Superb talent but needed coaching properly. His last year abroad is a massive help on that. Where are you going to get anyone on his level for 11m in the current market

Barca want him back and Juventus are linked, but he's not good enough for us?
No chance he starts for Barcelona and Juventus is just a link for now. Can only go by what I've seen and I reckon he's simply not committed enough. Hope I'm wrong and he comes good but I doubt it

Been linked to Roma the past few days, could see that happening.

Would still love to keep him though, he's good enough to start some matches this season with a busy schedule on the horizon
